Whilst looking at Delia's site for bbq inspiration I came across this tart recipe. We had a bbq yesterday, and I served this alongside all of our usual meats and salads.
I used vine tomatoes which I had bought previously and picked a few thyme leaves out of the garden. The goat's cheese was in the fridge, the puff pastry in the freezer and so I was ready to go, go, go!
Lovely, lovely tart and it looked so summery too!

I fully agree with you they are lovely and summery.
Glad the weather was ok for your BBQ! That goats cheese tart looks yummy!
That's a great idea for a BBQ side. I love making tarts in summer. Ricotta and spinach is another one of my favourites.
That tart looks delicious!

What an elegant looking tart! I love it when tomato goes soft and squishy on top of goat's cheese. Mmmmm goat's cheese......!
I've done something similar but it's called a 4 tomato tart. Vine, sundried, beef and.....erm.....another type of tomato! It's just the same but adds a few different flavours in there.
Geoff - thank you for visiting my site and leaving an informative comment.
Your 4 tomato tart sounds a really good idea, especially if you are making a large tart.
Oh yeah, I love a good tomato tart, this one looks very nice indeed!
M this tart looks so scrummy- you can't beat a good tomato tart.
