Gluttons for Nourishment Coffee Lounge Tettenhall

In beautiful leafy Tettenhall village, which is a short distance from where I live, I am fortunate to have an independent coffee lounge, Gluttons for Nourishment. They opened in the Autumn of 2010, and have brought to us a contemporary coffee shop with a great ambiance. There are leather sofas to sink into, whilst cosying up to the fire and making your choices from the extensive menu.

For breakfast, a favourite on the menu is scrambled egg and smoked salmon, at lunchtime my friends said the generous serving of freshly made chicken waldorf salad was fabulous. Sarah the owner makes all of the pastries and cakes, and favourites of mine has to be the lemon curd cake or the carrot cake. Cupcake lovers can choose a beautifully decorated cupcake topped with Toblerone, fresh strawberries or large chocolate buttons and there are even special boxes to take your cupcake home in.

Anyone for latte art? I am always impressed when my latte arrives topped with latte art because to me, as a coffee lover, it is a sign of pride and skill. There are a variety of speciality teas served in cute teapots, milkshakes, frappes and lots of other drinks to choose from.

Sarah and her staff take the time and trouble to get to know their customers and make them feel at home. It doesn't matter if you are with friends or on your own, a friendly smile and welcome are always assured. Sarah has always dreamt of owning a coffee lounge and so next time you are in the area, why not make a special trip to Gluttons for Nourishment, you'll be pleased you did.

This place is fab! It's always packed when we go and the buzz is really friendly and warm. It's the only place I know where the toasted teacakes are hot and the butter's already melting when they arrive. Yum! It's the little touches that make it so special - the staff are great (and happy), the food is to die for and they do take out too! Perfect!

I have no involvement with Glutton's for Nourishment (or indeed any other other review on my blog). This was an unbiased review.
I would like to point out that there are three other wonderful independent coffee shops in Tettenhall, namely Sadliers Coffee Lounge, Zest and Relish.
When visiting my blog please be respectful and mindful that this blog is a personal diary and that I have been writing my blog for a few years now, and have had lot's of fun along the way, and I fully intend it to stay that way. Thank you.
